About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer IV for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in the designated technical area of specialization from an accredited university and 9 years of combined engineering and technical experience, including 6 years of project experience; or a Master's Degree in the designated technical area of specialization from an accredited university and 7 years of combined engineering and technical experience, including 4 years of project experience; or a PhD in Engineering in the appropriate area of specialization or related discipline from an accredited college/university and 5 years of applicable experience, including 2 years of project experience, performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.
  • Areas of specialization may include electromagnetics, electro-optics, optical sciences, electronic circuits, modeling and simulation, infrared scene projection, structural analysis, radar systems, high voltage systems, mechanical systems, data acquisition, stockpile testing, HWIL, HPC, or IR scene generation.
  • Electrical – Experience must include performing research, design, development, test or supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use; and performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Design, develop and test analog and digital circuits for high vibe, acoustic, temp and EMI environments.
  • Create and manage PCB layouts, schematics, and fabrication files using EDA/CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, AutoCad Design etc …).
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and refine requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and simulations to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans for validating and debugging prototypes and production hardware.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing products.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in PCB design and electrical engineering.
