About The Position

Syska Hennessy Group is a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services, specializing in highly technical buildings and the systems that bring them to life. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join their design team in Hamilton, NJ. This role involves representing Syska Hennessy Group and interacting with internal design teams, external clients, and consultants. The position requires the ability to progress from basic design assignments to more complex projects, working with a technical team. Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare, and Project Management is a plus. Requirements

  • Ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination for detailed drawings.
  • Basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
  • E.I.T./FE required.
  • History of working with projects such as Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical.
  • REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PE preferred.
  • LEED AP, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer.
  • Developing specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for various projects.
  • Participating in trade organizations and preparing presentations.
  • Managing CAD/BIM and other technical staff assigned to specific projects or tasks as directed by senior personnel.
  • Assisting with employee reviews as requested.
  • Estimating construction costs and evaluating construction feasibility using ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude).
  • Writing engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer.
