About The Position

As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will help address infrastructure challenges by contributing to client projects and the company’s growth. You will be assigned to a functional area in Advanced Power Generation. This is an office-based internship expected to be full-time.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited university Electrical Engineering program.
No experience required.
Complete applicable pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected, which may include criminal or civil background checks, a drug screen, and a motor vehicle records search.

Nice To Haves

Relevant coursework or knowledge in power systems, motors, transformers, renewable energy, power delivery, or three-phase power calculations.
Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing electrical engineering deliverables, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
Assist with engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
Collaborate with other disciplines and coordinate project deliverables.
Organize and evaluate data, using computer modeling to analyze systems.
Organize project materials, references, and documentation.
