We are looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to support our SJE Rhombus brand. This role will work out of our Detroit Lakes, MN location. Detroit Lakes is the home office for SJE and is the leading manufacturer of our liquid level control products, including pump control panels, alarm systems, float switches, and level monitoring solutions. As our Electrical Engineer Intern, you will work with the R&D team on new product design, existing product updates, and validation testing of products. The work you will do includes:
Requirements
- Experience or talent for working with digital and analog electronics and microcontrollers
- The ability to follow direction but also be able to self-lead with minimal input
- An aptitude for circuit design and assembly of components
- The ideal candidate should be pursuing an electrical engineering degree with a minimum of one year in the program.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing project scope
- Designing necessary circuitry and creating schematics
- Performing concept design in electronic design software
- Reviewing of design concept with engineering manager and other resources as needed
- Creating a list of required parts for project
- Building a prototype to validate design
- Reviewing product and validation results with engineering manager
