About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support their Englewood, Colorado office. This role involves performing a variety of engineering tasks from initial planning through final design for complex projects under the supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies, and drawings in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria. Daily duties include initiating and developing technical calculations, complex studies, and engineering drawings; preparing, reviewing, and approving electrical drawings; conforming to project criteria, applicable codes, and design standards; and maintaining proficiency in industry-standard engineering software and applications.

Requirements

  • Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Must have an intermediate level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
  • Experience in electrical equipment and cable sizing.
  • Working knowledge of Power System Analysis software.
  • Experience in using BIM, Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD MEP.
  • Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • FE (EIT) certificate preferred.
  • PE license or EIT Certification (please indicate in profile)
  • DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Position may require travel.
  • US Dual Citizenship may be considered.
