About The Position

Use your knowledge of electrical engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products/ processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs. This function supports an annual revenue of $20M. Critical Honeywell customers impacted include Honeywell Aerospace, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and several key distribution partners. The site requires test engineering to meet production demands and drive productivity. This position will be heavily involved in the maintaining, redesign, and automation of this test equipment. Writing LabView code for its testing. This electrical engineer also supports the Resolver product line as the design support team is not on site for trouble shooting and analysis. Equipment trouble shooting and support for the production team is a crucial aspect for this role and directly impacts problem resolution in support of revenue generation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in reading PCB schematics, soldering, and familiarity with standards like ISO or MIL-STD.
  • Instrument Control: Communicating with hardware via protocols like GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS232, and PXI from thousands of vendors.
  • Data Acquisition (DAQ): Measuring real-world physical phenomena such as voltage, temperature, and pressure in real-time.
  • Design Validation: Automating complex R&D tests that require sweeping across different environmental variables (e.g., temperature or power).
  • Manufacturing Test: High-throughput systems that verify product specs on a production line before shipping.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred): in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • LabVIEW : a graphical development environment by National Instruments (NI) used by engineers to design automated test, measurement, and control systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, by consistently taking the initiative to get things done.
  • Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures.
  • Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams.
  • Be part of a team that designs, modifies, writes and implements test equipment solutions (including hardware design and/or software programs).
  • Experience with managing servers.
  • Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred.
  • Colleagues who take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by event
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Certifications: Common credentials include Engineer in Training (EIT) or ISTQB for software-integrated testing.

Responsibilities

  • Test Design & Development : Creating comprehensive test plans and procedures to evaluate products and equipment against design parameters.
  • Develop SOW and RFQ for external automation/testing suppliers.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Using tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters to isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
  • Automation: Developing test software and scripts to automate repetitive testing tasks.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigating product failures to determine if they stem from design flaws, firmware bugs, or manufacturing issues.
  • Documentation: Ensure proper documentation, backup, and approvals for supported equipment (AS9100 & Mil spec…)
