About The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer II to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This position will work closely with our Avionics teams to meet all phases of a product’s lifecycle. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • The company will not seek an export authorization for this role
  • Experience with digital electronics design principles
  • Schematic capture experience for creation of digital circuits
  • Printed circuit board (PCB) design layout experience

Nice To Haves

  • FPGA development experience
  • Experience with Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, and SERDES bus technologies
  • Experience with DDR1/2/3 memory interfaces
  • Testing experience in DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461
  • Design tools experience for signal integrity and timing analysis
  • Capable of hands-on troubleshooting using engineering lab equipment.
  • Requirements capture, tracing, and testability

Responsibilities

  • Primary assignments will include use and application of electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
  • Designs include the use of complex printed circuit board solutions, embedded digital logic, microprocessor technologies, and a variety of memory solutions.
  • Work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and Environmental Effects engineering roles, as well as Manufacturing Operations and Design-to-Cost staff in order to assure requirements are met in all phases of a product's lifecycle.
  • Perform activities that span all phases of the hardware development lifecycle including requirements capture, design, integration, verification, production transition, product sustainment, and customer interface.
