Requirements

  • 0-2 years engineering work experience required
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or highly related field) required
  • Basic knowledge of low-voltage circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a regulated environment, such as FDA 21 CFR 820 or similar
  • Basic understanding of medical device regulations
  • Basic knowledge of electronics design for manufacturability, including PCB fabrication, assembly, and component selection.
  • Basic technical writing skills
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Internship or co-op experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, technologies, and applications – and a forward-looking interest in applying them to engineering work and everyday workflows

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems, circuits, and components for a variety of projects.
  • Create schematics, layouts, and detailed designs for new electrical systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • Perform detailed analysis of electrical components to ensure they meet functional and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to identify issues and optimize performance.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and reports to document findings and improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams to perform integration testing and system validation.
  • Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, software, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership and support during the design, manufacturing, and deployment stages.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Stay current with developments in electrical engineering technology and related regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for designs, specifications, and project reports.
  • Create and maintain detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, vendors, and customers to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to manufacturing, operations, and maintenance teams.
