The Hardware Electrical Engineering Organization is responsible for the FPGA and hardware designs for electronic warfare, radar, electro-optic and effector products. Job responsibilities of this role vary but include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: RF, Microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Power Electronics, VHDL, FPGA, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing, or PCB design.
  • Demonstrated experience with VHDL or Verilog coding, simulation, and synthesis.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Digital, RF, Analog, and/or Power electronics coursework.
  • Lab experience with hardware/software integration, test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
  • Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
  • Knowledge of electro-optical subsystems.
  • Experience developing applications for GPU using CUDA or OpenCL.
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations and FRACAS processes.

Responsibilities

  • Designing RF, digital, power, and analog circuits
  • VHDL design
  • Integration and testing of electronic hardware
  • Operating and automating test equipment in a lab environment
  • Analyzing, modeling, and simulating electronic designs
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels
  • Resolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers)
  • Component selection for electronic designs
  • Layout and routing support of printed circuit boards
  • Providing factory, field, production, and supplier support domestically and internationally
