This role specializes in electrical systems, components, and technologies. The Electrical Engineer I will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, ranging from power distribution and electronics to control systems. Responsibilities include completing circuit design, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Follows procedures accurately and assembles, tests, and repairs cable harnesses, circuit boards, and other components using hand tools to maintain equipment.
  • Assists in first level troubleshooting and repairing of equipment, including using oscilloscopes for detailed analysis.
  • Reads and interprets electrical and electronic schematics, troubleshoots to the component level, and orders necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Assists in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, ranging from power distribution and electronics to control systems.
  • Utilizes design tools, such as Altium Designer, PSpice, Microsoft Visio, and Matlab, to complete tasks.
  • Specifies components based on performance, reliability, and fit requirements, drawing on experience in analog and digital design.
  • Assists in the development and creation of specialized control systems with graphical user interfaces and embedded components capable of advanced functions, such as remote data logging.
  • Performs maintenance on equipment, tests new builds, and uses soldering irons, hand tools, power supplies, multimeters, and other testing setups as required.
