About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.
  • Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.
  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
  • Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.
  • Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
  • Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
