The Test Instrumentation Engineer will perform setup and operation of data acquisition systems. Duties include coordinating transducer installation, writing technical procedures for instrumentation technicians, calibrating signal conditioning hardware, generating noise and tolerance reports, and operating the data acquisition system during structural testing. This role involves coordination with NASA project-level customers across organizations to ensure mission success. The engineer will work with a diverse team of civil servants and contractors to design, develop, set up, and perform structural testing on space flight qualification hardware and other mission-critical hardware. Participation in a Beyond Zero Safety Culture, attending safety meetings, task meetings, design reviews, and test readiness reviews is expected to support ESSCA and customer requirements. The role also includes developing and delivering reports and presentations via PowerPoint and other software packages, and performing safety and certification training. Familiarity with OSHA standards, and excellent verbal and writing skills are required.
