About The Position

Seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer – Firmware Developer to support the design, development, and integration of advanced electronic and embedded systems for mission-critical applications. This role involves hands-on engineering across hardware, firmware, and system integration, contributing directly to innovative solutions in a dynamic and secure environment. Specific duties include: Performs an assortment of complex engineering duties and tasks such as: Generating quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensuring requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Working with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Participate in system conceptual design and document of the design concepts and operational concept of operations artifacts. Design, develop, evaluate, and integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical systems to support critical mission requirements. Perform hands-on hardware and firmware development of capabilities to meet complex mission requirements/objectives. Develop and fabricate prototype circuit boards for high performance systems, and create documentation for existing and follow-on production boards Assessing product performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Identify gaps in current electrical engineering infrastructure and propose solutions to address those gaps. Create multiple electrical engineering solutions to complex problems, utilizing digital and analog approaches as needed. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Perform systems integration efforts incorporating high-performance systems into larger systems Reverse engineer electronic hardware systems, modify and integrate systems, and perform system testing and validation Collaborate with government and industry partners to communicate requirements, designs, and also perform design reviews. Participating in the testing process to validate requirements. On occasion, travel to industry partner and client sites (domestic and occasionally International) for demonstrations, technical exchange meetings, and other project related discussions/activities.
