Assess, analyze and report on the origin and cause of fires. This role involves interviewing witnesses, service personnel, and local officials. Inspections will cover various structures including roofs, attics, crawlspaces, partially destroyed buildings, fire-damaged buildings, and elevated structures. The position requires the ability to recognize potential subrogation opportunities, climb, work at heights, and tolerate all temperatures. Assessing the general safety of damaged fire structures is essential. The role also includes leading projects from start to finish and providing clear, accurate, and timely reports. A key responsibility is to assess, analyze, and report on the origin and cause of electrical failures. Familiarity with CSA, ASTM, and NFPA codes and their applications for mechanical and electrical equipment is necessary. This is a site-based position requiring candidates to have their own vehicle and license. While office space can be provided in Dieppe, NB, or Dartmouth, NS, some work from home is also required, with office work requirements based on experience and manager discretion.
