About The Position

As an Electrical Engineering Co-Op, you will work with the Atlas Electrical Engineering team to help design, build, and troubleshoot compact electrical systems in robots. You will contribute within a multidisciplinary team and support the development of complex robotic systems. Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots and is becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications, logistics, and warehouses.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and circuit fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB.
• Hands-on experience with electronics and related lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Experience with microcontrollers.
• Experience with power electronics, such as switching converters and motor drives.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to help design and support complex robotic systems.
• Assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of circuit boards and electromechanical subassemblies.
• Troubleshoot and identify the root causes of challenging electrical and systems problems.
