About The Position

Quest Global is seeking an Electrical Drafter with SolidWorks expertise to produce and maintain electrical CAD designs across a large family of product variants. The role involves using SolidWorks Electrical to ensure designs are accurate, connected, and easy to modify. The drafter will also contribute to building and maturing the design environment, libraries, and standards to ensure seamless changes across all product variants. This position is for individuals who are innovative, driven by technology, and passionate about engineering a brighter future.

Requirements

  • Hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical Professional (Schematic Professional and Electrical 3D)
  • Producing electrical schematics and wiring drawings for real products
  • Managing part numbers, configurations, and engineering change management across a product family
  • Working within a PDM or revision control process
  • Clear communication for close, on-site collaboration
  • Ability to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Ability to work in a shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Exposure to complex electro-mechanical systems with many variants and part numbers
  • Familiarity with drives, motor controls, or industrial equipment
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, and experience working in a global environment coordinating with an offshore drafting team

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and interconnection drawings in SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Create wire and cable routing, terminal and connector assignments, and from-to and wire lists that stay synchronized with the models.
  • Generate and maintain accurate BOMs, cable schedules, and drawing packages ready for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Keep electrical and mechanical designs aligned as one integrated system.
  • Check drawings for completeness, consistency, and manufacturability before release.
  • Coordinate on-site with the engineering and manufacturing teams to reflect as-built configurations accurately.
