The Electrical Diagnostician is a key position supporting the plant in achieving electrical first-time quality (EFTQ) during steady-state production and the EFTQ glidepath during vehicle program launch. The primary responsibility is supporting the electrical end-of-line (EOL) repair process. This role leads electrical troubleshooting, collects and analyzes data, and develops corrective actions to resolve ongoing issues impacting EFTQ. The Electrical Diagnostician supports both current production and new-model launch activities, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Development, and plant Electrical Team members. The GM Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College, or AMEC, is an immersive training program that provides participants the opportunity to train in classroom and hands-on settings for future employment on a Launch Electrical Team at one of GM’s vehicle assembly facilities.
