About The Position

As an Electrical Designer, you will play a critical role in the planning and development of electrical systems for commercial buildings across the United States. Your primary objective will be to create efficient, safe, and code-compliant electrical designs that meet client specifications and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building projects. This role demands a thorough understanding of electrical codes, energy efficiency principles, and emerging technologies to optimize system performance and sustainability. Ultimately, your work will ensure that buildings are equipped with reliable electrical infrastructure that supports their operational needs and enhances occupant safety and comfort.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant building codes.
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate electrical layouts with architectural and structural plans.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using Revit and CAD software.
  • Develop detailed electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Perform load calculations, circuit design, and equipment selection to ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies to recommend innovative solutions that improve system efficiency and sustainability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and resolve design challenges.
