We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to design and coordinate building electrical systems, prepare construction drawings, and support project delivery from concept through construction. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with critical thinking and collaboration skills to develop innovative, efficient, and code-compliant solutions. Success in this role requires a dedication to quality, continuous learning, and providing outstanding service to clients and project teams.

Requirements

  • Has knowledge of electrical and technology designs.
  • Requires knowledge of electrical equipment, the NEC and other NFPA standards.
  • Familiar with a variety of electrical system concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • High level of Revit proficiency.
  • Computer Skills: Revit, Auto CAD MEP, MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering; or, Experience: Minimum four years of progressive electrical and/or technology design experience.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and working toward professional licensure (PE) preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare Experience is preferred
  • LEED, RCDD, CEM, LC or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electrical engineer, RCDD and other designers in developing building electrical and technology system designs by performing the following duties.
  • Designs and produces construction drawings for power distribution systems, lighting layouts and controls, grounding systems, and low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, nurse call, telecommunications distribution, and security and surveillance.
  • Produces detailed construction plans and schematics via computer aided software.
  • Perform field investigations and construction site visits.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Review product data submittals and perform other construction period services.
