About The Position

The Electrical Designer/Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Our Electrical Designers focus primarily on the design of building related projects, including, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, hospital and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software. In this role, you will: Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit. Understanding and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems. Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment Edit electrical system specifications Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress Interact with project team members and leaders Support the Data Center and Mission Critical Group

Requirements

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
  • Design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
  • Hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines.
  • A confident and positive attitude with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, along with the ability to work as part of a team
