About The Position

This part-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work. It provides an opportunity to utilize and expand drafting skills within a multi-disciplined team of designers and engineers, preparing design drawings based on input. The role involves applying computer-aided drafting skills with hands-on training in 3D design software. Responsibilities include creating master sketches showing proposed installations relative to existing facilities with exact specifications and dimensions. You may accompany experienced designers on facility walkdowns to gather information and may explain drawings to vendors and construction contractors to facilitate design adjustments.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.
Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (e.g., MicroStation).
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
Knowledge in MicroStation.
Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Responsibilities

Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi-disciplined team environment.
