About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Design Engineer (Level 1) to join their Government Training Engineering Hardware Design Team in Hazelwood, MO. This role involves the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of aircrew and maintenance training devices for various military aircraft. The engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and document complex electrical training systems, including high-fidelity aircraft crew station simulators, high-resolution visual systems, aircraft representative maintenance trainers, and supporting computational and facilities infrastructure. The position requires analyzing and translating requirements into hardware designs with a focus on manufacturability, defining interface specifications, coordinating with suppliers, providing troubleshooting for integration and testing, and researching technological advancements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the Hazelwood, MO facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience with design and analysis of basic Electronic/Electrical Systems
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Siemens Capital Electrical Design Suite or other similar Schematic/Harness design tools
  • Experience working with power distribution, control systems, networking systems, or computational systems
  • Experience with data analysis of system data
  • Experience with test driven development

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements
  • Translate system requirements into harness and schematic drawings
  • Create documentation to capture system interface definition
  • Test and validate hardware to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
