About The Position
Talon Hiring Solutions is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer in the Greater Birmingham, AL area to lead and support the development of electrical for precast concrete structures. This role involves managing, designing, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with building codes and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and related design tools.
- Strong knowledge of state, local, and IBC codes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support electrical and mechanical design staff, ensuring code compliance and quality.
- Design building systems for concrete structures, including generators and backup power systems.
- Collaborate with sales, production, purchasing, and quality teams to improve efficiency and delivery.
- Coordinate regulatory approvals, third-party inspections, and state compliance.
- Support training, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
