Electrical Design Engineer
About The Position
Design, document, and oversee electrical system architecture, schematics, test protocols, board layout, design control standards in the quality management system (QMS), component and material selection, and process determination. Generate engineering solutions and perform risk analysis to support product requirements. Build and maintain an electronic component library, and test and mitigate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Specify, support, and/or execute development of firmware and software for products and manufacturing processes. The role may require on-site attendance in Gardner, Massachusetts, as much as one day per month, and up to 10% domestic travel to support programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Two years of experience as a Design Engineer or in a related role.
- Experience with firmware development using VHDL.
- Experience with PCB design using an industry-standard tool, such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro Schematic, pSpice, Mentor Graphics (Schematic, Accusim, Layout), or TetraMax.
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
