About The Position

JMT is seeking a degreed electrical engineer to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment on facilities type projects. The role involves conceptual electrical design through construction and commissioning, problem-solving complex issues, and working with diverse staff. Typical projects are in educational, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, and aviation industries. The engineer will gain experience in various electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, and communication systems. Requirements

  • Degreed electrical engineer
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform design computations
  • Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and engineering fundamentals
  • Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium sized engineering projects
  • Evaluate equipment and materials
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
