Electrical Design Engineer - Mid, Senior & Principal
About The Position

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls)
- Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm
- Writing, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- US Citizenship is required
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, coordinate across engineering teams, and help drive successful project execution.
- Developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, conducting field walkdowns, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Apply expertise to challenging and meaningful projects while contributing to technical excellence and innovation.
- Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines.
- Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellence.
- Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select top-tier solutions to meet project needs.
- Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations.
- Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward.
- Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance.
