About The Position

We are seeking an EPS Product Engineer to help drive the productization of the Electrical Power System (EPS). Working closely with senior technical leads, you will help bridge the gap between design and flight hardware, focusing on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and the mitigation of technical risks. This is an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-performance power architectures optimized for efficiency and rapid integration at scale. The position's internal job code is Elec Design & Analy Eng. Our team is currently hiring for levels 1/2.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline and 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 1 or more years of Electrical Power Systems or electrical engineering experience acquired through coursework, projects or internships
  • 1 year of experience with hands-on PCB/PCBA design
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.
  • Final U.S. Secret security clearance required post start.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 2 or more years of Electrical Power Systems or electrical engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft EPS architecture, sizing, and lifecycle
  • Advanced circuit analysis skills
  • Experience as a subsystem owner, REA, or CAM
  • Cross-disciplinary integration experience
  • Strong schematic capture proficiency
  • Experience writing or reviewing test procedures

Responsibilities

  • Own electrical subsystem design, analysis, and testing for a satellite
  • Develop electrical budgets, solar array sizing, and battery sizing for mission needs
  • Identify and resolve grounding issues; integrate MAS requirements
  • Break large projects into tasks and delegate to junior engineers
  • Review others’ work and provide technical feedback
  • Identify, track, and mitigate subsystem risks to meet program objective
