About The Position
The Electrical Engineer I at AAON is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the design, testing, and documentation of electrical systems used in HVAC equipment. Electrical Engineer I contributes to product development and testing by performing basic engineering tasks and learning AAON’s systems and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and design principles
- Familiarity with CAD tools and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and follow engineering procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and components
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Nice To Haves
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Document test results and maintain engineering records.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians on design projects.
- Learn and apply relevant codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC).
- Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
- Create and revise schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
