Internship conversion position for the Sensors and Systems Department. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
  • Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
  • 0-1 year of industry work experience.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Experience testing electronics in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic circuit concepts and theory.
  • Familiarity with basic programming concepts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
  • U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active security clearance.
  • Experience with digital or analog circuit design.
  • Verification and validation of space flight hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other engineers to design and build prototypes for internal and external customers.
  • Provide electrical engineering design support to scientists and technicians working on internal R&D projects.
  • Design digital circuits, schematic capture, hardware debug and test, and operations support for newly delivered instruments.
  • Test and troubleshoot digital and analog circuit boards in the lab.
