IC 2027 Electrical Design Engineer

Internship conversion position for the Sensors and Systems Department. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
- 0-1 year of industry work experience.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience testing electronics in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Knowledge of basic electronic circuit concepts and theory.
- Familiarity with basic programming concepts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
- U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

- Experience with digital or analog circuit design.
- Verification and validation of space flight hardware.
Responsibilities
- Work with other engineers to design and build prototypes for internal and external customers.
- Provide electrical engineering design support to scientists and technicians working on internal R&D projects.
- Design digital circuits, schematic capture, hardware debug and test, and operations support for newly delivered instruments.
- Test and troubleshoot digital and analog circuit boards in the lab.
