Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a construction-related course of study OR equivalent combination of formal training/certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position.
• 6 years of experience in electrical construction.
• A valid driver's license.
• Advanced knowledge of the various construction methods and materials related to electrical installation.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, communication, refrigeration, and fire alarm drawings and installation manuals.
• Advanced knowledge of retail electrical management systems.
• Knowledge of national electrical codes and other regulatory agency requirements.
• Knowledge of code calculations and ability to perform (i.e. wire sizing, conduit fill, low voltage calculations).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related course of study or equivalent level of documented construction experience.
• 8 years of experience in electrical construction, including project leadership experience (e.g., crew leader, supervisor, project foreman).
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour certification.
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Microsoft Access.
• Experience with Landmark.
• Experience with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Managing electrical installation inspections for new stores and shopping centers to ensure projects are progressing safely, on time, and according to high-quality Publix standards.
• Overseeing the remodeling of multiple stores simultaneously (up to 15 at once) to ensure electrical projects are completed safely, on time, and according to high-quality standards.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, store managers, design managers, maintenance coordinators, refrigeration coordinators, merchandisers, and Information Systems Technology Supervisors (ISTS) to support the Corporate 3-Year Plan and retail sales projections.
• Providing on-site support and advice to the construction manager on the timely and safe electrical installations for new stores, remodels, and special projects.
