About The Position

Chesapeake Controls, a commercial HVAC building & automation controls company, is seeking an entry-level Electrical Controls Technician. This position will work on a team as a commercial low-voltage rough-in installer working on projects in and around Hampton Roads. Founded in 1985, our company is a family-owned, full-service and installation provider of Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R). Requirements

Basic Low Voltage Installation experience, primarily less than 24 vac / 24 VDC; to a lesser extent 120 VAC for panel power
Familiar with standard design symbols common to the industry
Understand, and work from floor plans, blueprints, specifications, and schematics
Tools and techniques of the trade
Able to lift 50lbs and climb ladders.
Some travel requested

Responsibilities

Install conduit (all types)
Pull and terminate wires to controllers, components, and devices using wiring diagrams, and installation instructions
Install electrical wiring between controls and equipment according to wiring diagram; experience with push-up ceilings, hard lid ceilings, fire demising walls, floor to floor
