About The Position

This role provides daily process and technical support to Operations and High-Performance Operations Teams. The technician will troubleshoot equipment, process, electrical, and control-related issues, and support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsibilities include working with plant electrical distribution systems, process control systems, electrical circuits, motors, and drives. The technician will diagnose equipment problems, determine causes, and implement necessary repairs, including program modifications. Programming and troubleshooting PLC platforms from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Bosch Rexroth, and Omron is a key function. The role involves modifying existing control logic and writing programming as project requirements dictate, as well as tuning, modifying, and installing new manufacturing equipment. Additionally, the technician will help procure or develop equipment and process documentation, provide ongoing technical support for manufacturing projects and operational improvements, and maintain schedule flexibility to respond to equipment downtime or provide backup shift coverage. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, completion of a two-year electronics training program, or equivalent education.
  • At least three years of experience working with automation and controls equipment.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and at least one additional controls platform.
  • Understanding of PLC ladder logic.
  • Understanding of HMI and vision-system programming.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and modify electrical and controls systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of robotic programming.
  • Knowledge of 24VDC electrical systems.
  • Ability to complete control-system modifications involving timers, counters, constants, and similar programming elements.
