About The Position

The Electrical Control Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting both new and existing automation equipment across various facilities and departments. Their technical expertise helps in reducing operating costs, increasing productivity, minimizing labor intensive operations, and enhancing product quality. Additionally, they participate in the coordination of capital investment projects. Designs, develops, and implements automated systems to improve efficiency and productivity. Evaluates and provides justification, specifications, scope of work, design drawings, bidding, scheduling, supervision, and commissioning of assigned automation projects. Provides support for all automation equipment across various facilities and departments, utilizing technical expertise in the fields such as mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering. Explores ways to improve or upgrade automation systems Participates in CAPEX preparation process and monitors overall cost, quality, and time constrains of these investments. Arranges outside contractors to perform work at the facility. Participates in the preparation and maintaining engineering designs with the ability to perform basic design work using CAD software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Automation programming/PLC experience in a manufacturing environment including process controls, problem solving, troubleshooting, design and implementation of automated systems
  • Ability to use CAD software, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in writing and communicating detailed engineering reports, showing ability to identify problems, and recommend process improvements
