About The Position

This position supports the Operations Team and HPOT teams by providing daily process support and technical assistance for troubleshooting equipment and process-related issues. The role focuses on the continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment, including plant electrical distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors, and drives. The technician will also facilitate the procurement and/or development of necessary equipment and process documentation. Troubleshooting equipment problems and determining their causes to implement necessary repairs, including program modifications, is a key responsibility. Flexibility in work schedule is required to support equipment downtime or provide backup shift coverage as needed. The role emphasizes working safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines, demonstrating commitment to Rockline's RRITE Values, and contributing to a cooperative working environment. Associates are expected to gain and maintain the skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform the position satisfactorily.

Requirements

• Minimum of an AS Electronics Technology, a 2 year electronics training program and 1 year experience with automation and controls equipment including but not limited to AB Control Logix and at least one other controls platform or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must understand the basics of PLC ladder logic, HMI and Vision system programming.
• Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of robotic programming, 24VDC systems and the ability to make minor modifications to control systems (timers, counters, constants, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines and procedures.
• Work directly with and provide daily process support to the Operations Team and HPOT teams.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment.
• Facilitate the procurement and or development of equipment and process documentation necessary to support the manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine causes in order to implement necessary repair up to and including program modification.
