About The Position

As an Electrical Component Engineer reporting to the Head of AC Application Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the development, validation, and application of electrical components in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal cross‑functional teams. This role bridges technical engineering expertise with strong communication and project coordination skills to ensure that electrical components meet performance, quality, cost, and timing requirements.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 2 to 5 years in automotive, industrial equipment, aerospace, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with APQP/PPAP, DFMEA, DV/PV testing, and similar development processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical standards (ISO, SAE, IEC, UL, etc.).
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical components (e.g., BLDCs, sensors, actuators, harnesses, connectors, control modules, PCBs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding electrical component requirements, performance expectations, and integration support.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to define component specifications, review designs, support manufacturability discussions, and track development milestones.
  • Manage technical communication across engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine electrical component specifications based on customer requirements, industry standards, and application needs.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and perform technical assessments to support sourcing decisions.
  • Guide components through the full product development lifecycle including concept, design, validation, PPAP, and production launch.
  • Support system-level integration efforts and ensure compatibility with mechanical HVAC systems and overall electrical architecture.
  • Work with test engineering teams to develop validation plans and ensure components meet performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review test data, troubleshoot failures, and drive root-cause analysis with suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement of component quality, reliability, and cost.
  • Maintain project timelines, track deliverables, and provide regular status updates to internal leadership and customers.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, DFMEAs, reports, and technical presentations.
