About The Position

The Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) department develops electronics for weapon system products. We engage at the outset of the weapon system development and follow our designs through deployment. Our products are deployed all over the world, from the ground to exoatmospheric environments and into space. We are looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
  • Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards.
  • PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively multi-task.

  • Ensure the use of cost-effective, high-quality electrical parts that meet product and program requirements.
  • Select and specify components.
  • Verify component suitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to support component development.
  • Evaluate risks and verification data to justify component choices.
  • Identify and promote preferred parts.
  • Address obsolescence concerns.
  • Provide solutions that meet customer component needs.
