About The Position

The Product Development and Packaging Department is looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards.
PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively multi-task

Responsibilities

Ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components.
Solving the PCB board layout puzzle from R&D through full production level designs.
Taking the electronic database representation of the design and turning it into tangible reality.
Steward the creation of the PCBs and resulting CCAs.
Interface with PCB and CCA manufacturers resolving any technical issues that arise in the manufacturing process.
Develop Component risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers.
Identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements.
Creating and documenting the characteristics of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design from conception to manufacturing.
Library part creation, schematic capture, component placement, routing, gerber / ODB++ file creation, and all documentation using the Mentor Graphics and Blueprint toolsets.
Interfacing with the electrical, mechanical, and producibility engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured and accomplished.
Supporting the Digital, RF and Power Products (DRP) Team design community as the affordability, manufacturability, and producibility for all Missile Programs.
Involvement in digital, analog, and RF design projects from initial bill-of-material selection through Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and subsystem assembly including resolution on all technical and supplier related issues.
Following our Integrated Product Development System to create an affordable, producible, and highly reliable design that meets the program’s delivery and milestones needs.
Exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.
