About The Position

The Electrical CAD Designer will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical designs, ensuring compliance with NEC code, and collaborating with various internal and external parties. This role requires a strong understanding of PLC, I&E Controls, instrumentation panels, Mechanical Tubing Systems, Industrial Automation Systems, and Industrial I&E Rack Systems. The designer will also need to demonstrate knowledge of the oil and gas industries and have prior work history in automation and controls or I&E/I&C system design and development.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of NEC code as it pertains to PLC, I&E Controls, and instrumentation panels.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with numerous internal and external parties.
• Good working knowledge of Mechanical Tubing Systems, Industrial Automation Systems, and Industrial I&E Rack Systems.
• Minimum 3-5 years AutoCAD Electrical and LT experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Oil and Gas Industries.
• Prior work history in Automation and Controls or I&E / I&C System Design and Development.
• Knowledgeable on NEC Code requirements as it pertains to control and electrical panels.
• Knowledge of UL508, UL NNNY.
• Proficient in computer usage including familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Adobe PDF and Correct usage of SharePoint and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain electrical control and instrumentation panels.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC code requirements.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external parties.
• Apply knowledge of Mechanical Tubing Systems, Industrial Automation Systems, and Industrial I&E Rack Systems in designs.
• Utilize AutoCAD Electrical and LT for design work.
• Ensure designs meet UL508 and UL NNNY standards.
• Collaborate with teams in an environment with competing business interests.
