Requirements

Trade School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical CAD design and drafting.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical drafting software.
Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drafting standards.
Knowledge of electrical design principles and industry standards.
Ability to read, interpret, and create technical documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
Experience with Elecdes Electrical CAD software.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor 2022 or 2026.
Experience working in a PDM/PLM environment, preferably Windchill.
Experience using project management systems such as Asana.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, CSA, and other applicable electrical codes and standards, including the ability to perform code research.
Experience with industrial control panels, electrical equipment layout, and component selection.
Hands-on panel fabrication or wiring experience in shop or field environments.
Understanding of manufacturing and electrical assembly processes.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Experience with electrical design automation, configuration-managed design environments, and integrated engineering systems

Responsibilities

Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, interconnect drawings, and bills of material.
Develop accurate electrical design documentation using CAD and electrical design software.
Support engineering and manufacturing teams by ensuring designs are complete, accurate, and manufacturable.
Review drawings and documentation for quality, consistency, and compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards.
Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to improve design processes, standardization, turnaround time, and overall drawing quality.
Resolve drawing discrepancies and design conflicts through coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs/ECRNs) and support the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Participate in project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain drawing databases and revision control within PDM/PLM systems.
Track assigned tasks and deliverables to support project schedules and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners.
