About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design of various electrical systems, including but not limited to PLC control systems, SCADA/HMI solutions, low-voltage power distribution, networking and communications design, and process controls design within industrial and utility infrastructure spaces. Requirements

U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or the foreign degree equivalent
2+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spaces
Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel

Nice To Haves

Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Execute projects with involvement from conceptual design through completion, working with other engineers and design team members.
Leverage knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), power distribution, network architecture design, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Perform calculations integral to the electrical systems design.
Design systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC – NFPA70)
Prepare instrumentation datasheets and maintain an up-to-date instrument list.
Participate in and support design and/or coordination reviews with clients and other project team members.
Collaborate with and support engineers and project managers across various projects.
Work closely with vendors to support vendor-submitted data for technical reviews and production.
Oversee assigned project efforts to ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
