About The Position

The Bradbury Co., Inc. is seeking an Electrical Assembler for their 1st shift operations. This role involves routing, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical and electronic components in roll forming equipment, including main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instruments, according to specifications. The assembler will use various tools and equipment to ensure precise installation and functionality.

Requirements

  • Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments.
  • Understands basic math concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, electrical schematics, setup sheets, etc.
  • Able to use a wide variety of tools.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine electrical problems.
  • Offer suggestions and participate in continuous activities.
  • Must be able to travel domestic, and potentially international, 3-4 times per year for typically 3-14 days at a time.
  • Must supply own hand tools.
  • Requires a strong, related work history.
  • Ability to change assignments frequently.
  • Can work well independently and with others.
  • Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly.
  • Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

Responsibilities

  • Running conduit and wiring equipment per print.
  • Locating and mounting sensors, safety switches, junction boxes, and operator stations.
  • Installing PLCs, electronic drives, breakers, motor starters, servo drives, terminal strips, etc., in motor control enclosures.
  • Designing and fabricating electrical box mounting brackets.
  • Locating mistakes in electrical prints and troubleshooting wiring problems and device failures.
  • Performing IO checks on finished projects.
  • Thoroughly inspecting equipment during teardown to ensure all conduit and liquid tight fittings are tight, terminal block set screws and device mounting hardware are secured, and MCE, J-boxes, and operator stations are inspected.
  • Installing equipment at customer facilities when necessary.
  • Working in other departments within the assembly shop as needed, including hydraulics and mechanical assembly.
  • Following safety procedures by using equipment and materials properly.
  • Consistently maintaining a clean, well-organized work area.
  • Working in project teams.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
