About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for Entry Level Electrical Assemblers in San Diego, CA. As an Electrical Assembler, you will fabricate parts, build electrical / electronic wiring components. You will perform complete operations to fabricate, assemble and install production and / or first article units, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, relay panels and battery racks. You will work from schematics, wiring diagrams, standard work sheets, engineering detail drawings, oral instructions and established shop practices. This role involves selecting, branding, cutting, routing, fastening, sleeving, tying and lugging wires; assembling and installing wiring harnesses. You will also locate, drill, mount, and fasten components, and install control consoles, junction boxes, instrument/relay panels, resistors, capacitors, filters, diodes, circuit boards, heat and speed sensors, transformers, meters, malfunction status indicators, circuit breakers, and fuses.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend in English.
  • Experience using hand tools such as crimpers, wire cutters, soldering irons, drills, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Ability to read schematics or drawings.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of related experience preferred.
  • Recently graduated from an electrical trade school, or in school currently earning their certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate parts, build electrical / electronic wiring components.
  • Perform complete operations to fabricate, assemble and install production and / or first article units, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, relay panels and battery racks.
  • Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, standard work sheets, engineering detail drawings, oral instructions and established shop practices.
  • Select, brand, cut, route, fasten, sleeve, tie and lug wires; assemble and install wiring harnesses.
  • Locate, drill, mount, and fasten component.
  • Install control consoles, junction boxes, instrument/relay panels, resistors, capacitors, filters, diodes, circuit boards, heat and speed sensors, transformers, meters, malfunction status indicators, circuit breakers, and fuses.
