About The Position

The Electrical Assembler builds and tests electrical components used in JBT Marel equipment. The role involves reading schematics and other documentation, assembling and wiring components, testing equipment, supporting prototype builds, and working collaboratively in a manufacturing environment. The position is located at the Kingston Facility and reports to the Assembly Supervisor of the Prepared Foods Division within the US.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and test equipment.
• Experience using hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, and drills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience in electrical assembly or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to complete electrical assemblies.
• Gather and verify the parts, tools, and materials needed for each job.
• Assemble, wire, and solder electrical components to specifications.
• Perform panel wiring and machine wiring based on documentation.
• Test equipment and complete required documentation, including test reports and NCRs.
• Support engineering teams with prototype builds.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
