About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler. Eaton’s Milton, Ontario site is Eaton's largest manufacturing facility in Canada. The hourly rate for this position is $$23-$27 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Proven aptitude for complex wiring work.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English effectively.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to visualize and plan the layout of a wiring control panel using ladder logic.
  • Excellent attitude towards quality, safety, continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Functional with computers, in order to use a variety of digital business tools (email, ADP, electronic models, eLearning modules).
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a full-time wiring position.
  • Experience using wiring and power tools.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • All candidates must reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education or a technical certificate in a mechanical trade.
  • Experience using Outlook, ADP, Oracle and Inventor.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes (Kanban, 5S+, MRB) and Six Sigma Tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and wire control panels using one-line diagrams and customer drawing packages.
  • Determine how and where to run, connect and terminate wires for electrical devices on wiring pans and inside switchboard structures. (Common devices include breakers, meters, relays, sensors, PLCs, switches, CTs, sensors)
  • Identify design issues and raise them through the correct channels.
  • Perform functional tests such as continuity checks and wire pull tests.
  • Repair or rework issues detected during the inspection/test stage of the job.
