About The Position

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Please Note this position supports our 2nd Shift. You will be paid a 10% Pay Premium while working the 2nd Shift from 4:30PM to 3 AM -- 4/10 work week -- Working Monday to Thursday every Friday off. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings
  • Ability to become solder certified
  • Effective communication and team work
  • Computer literacy, and familiarity with Microsoft suit of products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a successful working team
  • A passion for learning/knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in electronic assembly
  • Active IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Certifications
  • Solder Reflow experience

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of quality standards, inspection protocols, and defect criteria to maintain product compliance with specifications
  • Teamwork – collaborate with team to improve processes and resolve assembly issues
  • Soldering Techniques – SMT and through hole soldering
  • Continuous Learning – participate in training sessions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to operate AOI and X-Ray machines to inspect circuit boards or surface mount devices, capturing and analyzing images to detect defects such as shorts, opens or misalignments
  • Capability to perform manual rework including cleaning shorts and correcting defects
