This student internship position will be onsite, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role may be eligible for relocation. Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 .

Nice To Haves

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline.
  • Sophomores will be considered depending on practical experience.
  • Familiar with Digital Design Engineering.
  • Experience with Linux (or Unix), scripting, C/C++, Python, and/or Perl.
  • All College technical experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team of engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds, located throughout the world and matrixed into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
  • Experience with on hardware verification using Logic Analyzers and oscilloscope
  • Familiar using FPGA specific tools (e.g. Questasim, Vivado, Libero, Synplify Pro, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform ASIC/FPGA/SoPC verification using inspection, analysis, simulation, and test methods.
  • Work on the creation of DO-254 DAL-A certification artifacts for Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH).
  • Conduct and/or participate in peer reviews throughout product lifecycle.
  • Communicate well with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering, and Program Management.
