About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time DOL Registered Electrical Apprentice in San Antonio, TX. This position assists commercial electrical journeymen in the installation and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and other equipment. The role involves working in various elements and on different types of ladders and lifts, while complying with company and customer safety policies. Apprentices are required to comply with all state apprenticeship training requirements, including attending classes and maintaining passing grades. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Current registration (or eligible to register) in DOL-approved TX electrical apprenticeship training program.
Current (or ability to obtain/maintain) Texas Electrical Apprentice License.
High School Diploma/GED.
OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
Reliable transportation to and from work/apprenticeship training classes.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Will need own basic electrical hand tools and safety-toe boots.

Responsibilities
