Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to learn and develop skills in the electrical field.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Dedication to completing a five-year apprenticeship program, plus a minimum two-year dedication upon completion of the apprenticeship program.
Ability to pass required math and reading tests.

Responsibilities

Install electrical equipment, components, and devices with precision.
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to flawless standards.
Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, switchgear, MCC’s, etc.
Maintain tools & equipment, and ensure the cleanliness of the work area.
Keep supplies and parts strictly in order.
Adhere to safety requirements and hazard awareness procedures.
Attend a technical college for paid related instruction.
