About The Position
Ludvik Electric Co. is seeking applications for Electrical Apprentices for the Salt Lake City, Utah area. This is a four-year commitment that includes 8000 hours of employment and on-the-job training, supplemented by required hours of technical instruction. The company pays 100% tuition for apprentices who achieve A grades. Electrical work can be exciting and challenging, but also difficult and dangerous, involving physical labor in various weather conditions. Projects are located throughout the Salt Lake City Metro Area, and employees are expected to travel to work sites.
Requirements
- Physically capable of performing essential functions without endangering self or others.
- Possess basic aptitudes for acquiring trade skills.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
- One full year of high school math with a passing grade of 'C' or higher, or one post-high school math course with a passing grade of 'C' or higher.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment for safety-sensitive tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete 8000 hours of employment and on-the-job training.
- Attend required hours of related technical instruction.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, digging ditches, laying pipe, and pulling wire.
- Work in various weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, mud, dust, dirt, and heat.
- Travel to work sites throughout the Salt Lake City Metro Area.
