About The Position

Sky Eye is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join their Electrical team. Applications are welcome from all levels (1st through 4th Year). Responsibilities

  • Be ten minutes early for your assigned shift start and ready to participate in daily tailgate meetings
  • Fill out JHA’s and other required safety paperwork while assessing potential hazards in and around the work area
  • Accurately follow project blueprints
  • Understand and accurately deploy Electrical Journeyman’s direction; ask for clarification when necessary.
  • Mount JB’s
  • Run raceways for wire or cables runs
  • Ground and bond unit to code and to Sky Eye specifications
  • Install fittings into devices
  • Run cables and pull wire through raceways
  • Cut and mount strut for raceway supports
  • Communicate with Journeymen about changes or concerns with the unit
  • Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws, regulations, and standards in place at Sky Eye Measurement.
  • Understand and follow all Sky Eye safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Complete required site-specific hazard assessments (i.e., FLHA’s) and toolbox talks before starting tasks.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Immediately report any unsafe acts/conditions, near misses, incidents, or property damage to a supervisor.
  • Support a clean and organized work area to prevent slips, trips, or electrical hazards.
